Well hello! It’s been too long! Far, far too long. I’m excited to finally be back on the blog tip. I know I’ve been gone for a long time, so thanks to those of you who have persevered through the hard times of um…no content.

This first post won’t be long. I just wanna say “I’mmm baaack (again)” and share some thoughts about the future of TALLTELLS. When I open the Pages app on my beloved MacBook Air and see that I have dozens of blog posts written, but few actually posted, it tells me there’s a major disconnect.

So moving forward, my focus will be on sharing content—heck, maybe even interesting content. LOL. I’ve come to terms with the reality that I fundamentally want to be a content creator and sharer of ideas and experiences—not necessarily a writer. Writing just happens to be one of the platforms I can use to share.

I’m abandoning the process of scrutinizing every piece I write until it’s absolutely perfect. I’d much rather consistently get stuff out in my authentic voice even if it requires moving to a “light” editing process that might let a misspelled word or grammatical faux pas slip through every now and then. I’m gotta accept that an error on a blog is NOT the emd of the world. See what I did there? =)

One of my favorite stories about this very concept is from Robert Kiyosaki, the author of Rich Dad Poor Dad. He was doing a book signing when a person came up to him, slammed the book on the table and angrily remarked that Rich Dad Poor Dad was “the most poorly written book” they had ever read. In response, Kiyosaki calmly pointed out the bright gold badge on the cover and replied, “this says best selling book—not best written book.” Boo-yah! To date, Rich Dad Poor Dad has sold 32 million copies in case you’re wondering. Yup. 32. Million. Copies.

So again, I’m going for sharing ideas and experiences—not winning literary awards. I hope you’ll join me on this journey. THANK YOU for the early vote of confidence and the willingness to engage in conversation—even if I make some mistakes along the way.

GTall signing off.
